The Buhl Mansion is the architectural legacy of Sharon's great steel magnate, Frank H. Buhl. Frank Buhl founded the Sharon Steel Corporation, eventually selling to United State Steel Corporation. It was this industry that became one of the Shenango Valley's main sources of income and financial stability for the next hundred years. Today, it is an inn available for everyone to stop by and enjoy.
As one of America's Top 10 Most Romantic Inns, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Perfect for romantic getaways, indulgent spa escapes, exclusive executive retreats and castle weddings. Steeped in history, built & maintained on love, the Buhl Mansion promises grand memories of a lifetime. After years of abandonment and neglect, Jim and Donna Winner lovingly restored Julia's "castle" to its original grandeur for all to enjoy.
The luxurious guest rooms are reached by the Grand Oak staircase that ascends to the second and third floors. As you reach the third floor, a handpainted mural of formal gardens and cherubs welcomes you.
Each room has individual heating and cooling, gas fireplace, television, DVD and CD player, telephone and either a king or queen sized bed. The beds provide a memorable sleep experience, as the mattresses, down comforters, and pillows were personally selected for comfort and luxury by Mrs. Winner.
All bathrooms have been lavishly appointed with jacuzzis for two, separate showers, hairdryers, deluxe bathrobes, slippers, and upscale amenities. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the mansion.
