Added new rear deck to a brand new house by this company.It started going bad when we were adding an addition privacey fence along deck for an additional $800.00.Fence was completed on inside of deck and all unfinished wood on exterior. I could not believe it.After going back and forth they then decided to complete the exterior in fear I would not pay the final bill.This job was close to $16,000, 2-scratched floor boards, 8" scratch on new siding (Hardy Board) and left 6-14' long boards on site and wont pick up.Then worker smoked all the time and threw his cig buts all over our yard.I had to run the power washer to clean up the dirt and saw dust they left behind. Now they wont even return calls even the salesman Tom.I never expected this when spending all this money. Now they got my money and won't even respond.I would think twice about these people and get some other bids, unless you don;t mind cleaning up after them and fixing their damage. Good Luck I warned you.
Dave and his crew did a fantastic job for us! No, they weren't the lowest bid we got, but they were worth every penny. We had a gigantic, two-level deck, in very poor condition, and Quaker State did a complete makeover, including replacing the steps between the two levels.
And I have nothing but praise for his crew. Mike and Kenny were there every day, and worked their butts off. They rarely took breaks, and they finished the project a lot sooner than I expected, with perfect workmanship.
I have recommended Quaker State to all of my neighbors and friends.
High Quality Construction! Dave Dickson was very helpful in listening to us and designing our covered porch and deck. His builders did excellent work and were friendly and easy to work with. It was helpful to periodically be present during the building to ensure that all the details of the design made it to the finished product, and address the typical tweaks that arose. The team was very accommodating. Only negative was that the 3 week project turned into a 6 week project; however, weather (snow and rain) was a big contributing factor and we made it clear that we were in no rush. Even after the project was finished, and paid for, Dave sent out someone to fix a couple of things. I would definitely recommend Quaker State.
Had various contractors out to see me. Quaker state was the only company to act professionally and give me a price that gave me the value I was looking for .They showed up on time to build my deck and I love it.
I used Quaker State to have a deck constructed in the Fall of 2012. I was very satisfied with the service, timeliness, and process of having this constructed.
However, in the summer of 2013, I requested that one of the posts be replaced because it appeared to be bending. I have been very disappointed with the level of customer service that I have received. After many unreturned phone calls, approximately 6 months later, this issue is still not taken care of (despite the fact that this should have been covered by the warranty offered by Quaker State).
Had 3 contractors out to give us bids and we chose quaker state based on design and 50 years in business. The deck turned out beautiful and it has really increased the value of our home.
Our front porch constructed 7 years ago by Quaker St began falling apart 3 years after construction. Material chosen was not appropriate for the breadth of the project. The porch is lifting and separating and literally coming apart and QSC comes and renailed it and the next year it does the same thing. We have had many slip and falls due to the material used. We now have to have the entire front porch demolished and rebuilt. Mr. Dixon stands in front of a lovely blue house on his commercial he did not stand behind the workmanship - it may look nice, but certainly did not last.
I was thinking about adding on to our existing deck for some time but was not sure how it would look as well as the cost. Quaker State helped me to design something that would work for my family that was well within my budget. I am pleased with the results - I have plenty of room for entertaining outside now that the weather is warmer. Thanks for your professionalism and for all of your help and advice!!!
