Standard Installation Procedures

• Scheduling a site inspection - Once your order has been submitted, one of our installation professionals will contact you to schedule an onsite inspection of your garage door opening and structure.
• Permits - Be sure to check with your local Borough or Township for any zoning requirements and/or permits that are necessary, for the purpose of garage door installation.

What happens during the site inspection 

• We will verify that the correct door is ordered, with the correct sizing requirements.
• To ensure that the proper track is ordered, the head-room, side-room, and back-room clearances will be confirmed.
• An assessment will be made as to whether any structural preparation or additional requirements are necessary to install your garage door.

Once the site inspection is complete:

• Our trained professionals will notify us if there are any changes or additional work required.
• Should additional work be required, we will contact you to make the necessary arrangements.
• If your garage door is not in stock, it will be ordered directly from the factory.
• Typical wait time for a new garage door installation is 4 to 6 weeks, depending on whether the door is a factory order or in stock.
• Our professional installation team will contact you to schedule your installation appointment once we have verified that the product has been received.

Preparing for Your Installation:

Your garage must be clear for at least 10 feet back from the entry to ensure that the installation team will have the space necessary for a safe and successful installation.

Removing Existing Doors:

Takedown and disposing of steel sectional doors is included. Extra charges may apply in the case of wood doors or single piece slab doors.

Installation Process:

An adult aged 18 or older must be onsite for the installation process. The person present must have the necessary authorization to sign all of the paperwork once the installation has been completed.

If it includes the proper safety accessories, our professionals will connect your previously installed electric motor to your new garage door.

Our installation professional will go over your warranty, as well as the care and operation of your new garage door.

Commercial Garage Door Installations

Our standard garage door installation rates do not include certain commercial applications, including, but not limited to:

• Ceilings that are more than 2 feet above the door’s opening.
• Excessive measures that are necessary to remove the existing garage doors.
• Any welding that is required for installation.
• Custom springing needed for larger, heavier doors that require torsion rear or duplex springs.
• Welding requirements for installation.
