In 1860, Louis Beinhauer opened a mortuary in downtown Pittsburgh and when his son, Ferd C. started buying property they expanded by opening two new facilities. In 1910, the Beinhauer’s added a new location in Dormont where they build a 3-story mortuary. In 1952 the mortuary in Dormont burned down but was soon rebuilt as a chapel to benefit the community. Today, we have 6 locations located around the Pittsburgh area and continue to grow and offer our services.

Many people today choose cremation. There is, however, a full range of service options available. Similiar to a traditional funeral, cremation still allows for visitation along with memorialization. We are proud to have the area's only on-site cremation service which is staffed by Licensed Professionals. Your loved one never leaves our care unlike most of the other funeral homes.
All fees associated with the funeral or related services are available for your review at any time. We offer a full range of prices to meet the needs of every family in our community. We have never denied anyone a dignified burial, or cremation funeral service regardless of race, creed or nationality.

Children's Activity Center
Loss can be difficult for children that's why we have our children's activity center to help them through this time. It provides a safe and comforting area away from stress near the visitation rooms. We believe that children should be included in the grief and healing process a funeral service provides with a room they can be comforted in.
