What is the difference between battery and electric-powered lifts?

A battery-powered chair is the most common kind. It runs on a battery that is powered by the electricity supply. This type of chair keeps working even if there is a power outage. With normal usage, the battery in the chair lasts for 2 ½ years, and costs $85 to replace. An electric chair will not work if the power goes out, can be quite costly to maintain, and operates with more noise than a battery-powered chair.

Family Owned, Family Oriented
Before buying a stair lift, can I try riding one?

There is a lift on display in our showroom. It is in working condition, and you are welcome to stop by at any time in order to try it out.

Is the lift mounted to the steps or to the wall?

The lift is always mounted to the steps themselves, with no damage to the wall. In fact, it can just as easily be mounted to freestanding stairs without an adjacent wall.

How much space will the equipment take up on the stairs?

The equipment does not interfere with other household members' normal usage of the stairs. The chair, when folded, extends 14 ½” from the wall, while the track extends 5 ½” to 6” from the wall.
