When it comes to changing a tire, there are no short-cuts. Sometimes you may not have time to wait for help to come, and in the case of bumper-to-bumper highway traffic, you might be sitting on the side of the road for some time.

This way, if you don’t feel comfortable with your location or with the task, you can make a phone call and wait in your car or in a nearby diner or gas station until help arrives. If you’re traveling alone, sit in the passenger seat while you await assistance in order to give the allusion that you are not alone.
