“In the mid-1940s my dad, Milt, operated the world’s first commercial air freshener service routes. He used a product invented by my uncle, Bob Surloff. It was the first fan operated air freshener called Air-Scent®. A few years later my dad added pest control to his service offerings and Pestco was born. In the mid-1970s I revitalized the Air-Scent® line which now includes a wide range of professional air fresheners and odor control products manufactured in our 80,000 sq. ft. facility in O’Hara Township. Our customers appreciate using products made right here in Pittsburgh!” —Arnold Zlotnik, President

Insects (cockroaches, fleas, bedbugs, ants, gnats, fruit flies) are prodigious breeders and—without aggressive integrated control measures—will multiply out of control in a short span of time. Insect pests spread filth and disease while jeopardizing the good reputation of commercial establishments.
All insect control programs from Pestco include careful insect monitoring along with the prudent application of approved insecticides and insecticide baits.
Pestco technicians are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and specially trained to identify environmental factors that increase the potential for pest infestation. These factors are noted on written Inspection Reports and submitted to our customers along with recommendations for corrective measures.
Pestco’s integrated rodent pest control program involves a careful balance of traditional baiting and trapping methods as well as environmental management strategies.
When conditions demand application of rodenticides or placement of rodent traps, the utmost care is taken to ensure the safety of humans, non-target animals and the environment.
In addition, our trained technicians will make sanitation and maintenance recommendations aimed at excluding rodents, eliminating their harborages and food supply. This integrated approach quickly reduces current rodent populations while preventing the potential for future infestations.
Bedbugs do more than bite. They can destroy your good name and reputation. Take decisive measures now.
This is a bedbug. In real life they grow to only 4-5mm in length, a little more than 1/8″. So, bedbugs are small enough to hitch a ride on any person or thing right into your establishment. These flat little bugs live and breed in the tiniest cracks and crevices of mattresses, beds and furniture where they wait for their next human blood meal.
Experts believe the recent increase in bed bugs in the United States may be due to more travel, lack of knowledge about preventing infestations, increased resistance of bed bugs to pesticides, and ineffective pest control practices.
The good news is that there are ways to control bed bugs. Getting good, solid information is the first step in both prevention and control. While there is no chemical quick fix, there are effective strategies to control bed bugs involving both non-chemical and chemical methods.
