Hello everyone! In light of Governor Wolf moving Westmoreland County to the Green Phase on June 5, we will be open for canoe trips beginning June 12! Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the time being we will be running trips on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until some restrictions are lifted.

We will be doing our part to follow the CDC guidelines to keep our customers and employees safe. This will include customers and employees -

- Wearing masks in our vans

- Keeping our vans at half capacity

- Santizing our vans after every trip

- Limiting the amount of customers in our building at one time

For the time being, we will be open for reservations starting Monday, June 8 from 10am-4pm!

Welcome to Youghiogheny Canoe Outfitters located in West Newton, PA right along the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail. We are a fun, family owned business that offers bait and tackle along with canoe and kayak rentals at reasonable prices. We transport you in one of our vans to one of three destinations and you float down to your vehicle at our location in West Newton! We are located on a Class 1 portion of the Youghiogheny River which makes your day on the river perfect for all ages.

Bike and Boat trips available upon request. Bike up along side the beautiful Youghiogheny River on the GAP Trail. We will then meet you at your destination with a canoe or kayak and you float back down stream, and we will bring your bikes back with us!

*we do not provide bicycles

WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING BIKE AND BOAT TRIPS AT THIS TIME

We also sell fishing licenses! So if you have a passion for the outdoors, you want to come see us and fish the Yough! Our Stock the Yough program will be in full swing from March-April for the start of trout season!

• Own Your Own Canoe? We will shuttle your boat for a flat rate of $20/person
• Group Rates Available- Please call us with group size
• Travel Package- Bike to your destination on the GAP Trail and we will meet you with a canoe and haul your bike back to West Newton
• Food- Eateries available for delivery or a short walk down the GAP trail
• Bait- Minnows, nightcrawlers, and more!
• Fishing License- We sell PA Fishing Licenses
