Cedar Creek Park is a great place to stop and take a break for those on the long and medium trips. There are modern, county maintained restrooms at this park, and you can even order a hot pizza and have it delivered right to your canoe !!! We've come a long way, baby !!!

We Take You There in Style !!

We will take you and your party completely outfitted to your entry point on the Youghiogheny River, then we'll see you back in West Newton at our dock.

We have a great tent campground with free firewood. Come on over and spend the night before or after your trip on the Yough.
Another option is to bike on the trail one day, camp out and then canoe or kayak the next day.

An Extra Large Pavillion

We have an oversized pavillion for rent for outings of all types. It is a great place for a Birthday Party, Family Reunion or a High School Graduation party as there are day trips in the canoes or bike riding on the Yough Trail.

The Yough Trail

The Yough Trail runs through West Newton right next door to Yough Canoe Outfitters. The trail is for bikes and walking only. We can do a combo trip that includes biking and canoeing in the same day, or we can help you plan a trip over 2 or more days.

West Newton, PA
|
|
This is a replica of the old P&LE Train Station that was in West Newton in the 1900's. This replica building is now the Visitor Center for the Yough Trail and is located approximately 500 yards from Yough Canoe Outfitters. The Yough Trail is on the old railroad bed of the P&LE Railroad and follows the Yough River.
