We have been a family owned and operated full service agency since 1960. We represent the Erie Insurance Group, Progressive Auto Insurance, and Foremost. We specialize in Auto, Home, Life, Business, and Boat insurance. Our agency consists of 3 full-time agents, 4 full-time customer service representatives, and 1 part-time agent.
The agency was founded in 1960 by Dennis J. McElhinny who retired in 1989. It was then passed down to his son, Richard D. McElhinny, who brought with him over 15 years in the insurance business. His sons, Timothy C. McElhinny, CIC, LUTCF, came into the business in 1988, and Thomas L. McElhinny, LUTCF, followed in 1989. Tim is a licensed agent, has a degree in Business Administration from California University and has completed the CIC Program. Tom is also a licensed agent within the Agency. Both Tim and Tom have completed the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation.
